How (Not) to Wear a Mask — and Why

We really hate being the nostril police. We really wish we could leave you alone and let you study and visit.

But not wearing your mask properly means your mask doesn’t work. It means you could be spreading COVID to the people in the library. People who might be living with a little brother who has a heart condition, or whose clinical might be caring for people who have cancer, or who might themselves be at higher risk of dying or getting complications from COVID.

Your librarians care about you. We want to keep you safe, so we have to keep going around and asking you to mask up. Please don’t make us. Just, please, wear your mask properly, over your nose and mouth.
