Happy 2015 & Welcome Back!

Welcome back! We hope you all have had a joyous and restful break. We’ve been busy here in the library, getting ready for the new semester. Here’s some info to keep you up-to-date:

Congratulations and welcome to Kristin (“Kiki”) Butler, former Night Circulation Manager who has been promoted as the new Special Programs Librarian.

Our Library Lessons research series is continuing this semester with some useful workshops such as “How to Do Research” and “MLA/APA citation.” For the full list of workshops and dates, see the poster below. Workshops are free and open to all. Registration is required to attend; register online at

Come see our “New World Literature” display on the 1st FL of the library. Browse interesting books related to this topic and if you see a book you like, feel free to check it out!

The library offers access to three group study rooms! The rooms are bookable online.
For a list of technology, seating and other features, see the study rooms page.

Wish you had a quick, easy to read guide on how to do research? Maybe you forgot some of the steps, or need a refresher on the whole process. In any case, we’ve got you covered with the “Research from Start to Finish” guide. The guide includes videos and information on the research process, including choosing a topic, search strategies, citing and evaluating sources, and more!

Just a reminder that the librarians are always here to help. Ask us anything— we’ll make sure you get the assistance you need. In addition to visiting us at the information desk, you can also call, text or email.
