Library Display: Casino Theatre

In celebration of the newly renovated Casino Theater, the International Tennis Hall of Fame Museum granted rights to display digital reproductions of photographs and ephemera from the early years of the Casino.  Salve’s University Archives also contributed a variety of Casino playbills from the 1950’s, featuring Tullulah Bankhead and Mary Astor, among others.

In recognition of Salve’s upcoming presentation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in early December at the Casino, photographs of some of the most famous Midsummer productions (found in the library’s Artstor database), along with books, sound recordings, and portraits of the Bard himself, are on display as well.
